You will find the town of Paisley located in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. Sitting on the banks of the Cart River and on the north part of Gleniffer Braes too. Also part of Glasgow in the full scheme of things. The Lost Ways Book Review The center of Glasgow is only six short miles from Paisley. There would be a chapel that would be established in the sixth or seventh century in Paisley by the monks. It would be here that Saint Mirin would decide on a site that would be beside a beautiful waterfall. It is thought that William Wallace who is a great hero of the area was actually educated in this area. Plus it is the spot where King Robert III would be buried, though the tomb would not survive.

During the 1400s the town would begin to flourish by trading when it would begin to trade. It was due to this that the first school would be built during 1577. This location is also well known for the paisley pattern. It would be a location that would be somewhat radical through the years. With the mixture of religion and drink it would be said that many nights would be spent debating. It was here that Robert Tannahill would work and live as a weaver and a poet.
There are many residential areas that are around this location too. Close by you will find Foxbar, Castlehead and Ferguslie Park to name a few. The area would be redeveloped during the 1960s. It was then that many of the older buildings would either be demolished or fixed up.
