At the village of Jatwahar lies the ancient Jateshwar Mahadev Temple. It is visited by pilgrims from the neighboring states of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, besides Punjab. The Bhakhra-Nangal Dam, the largest Dam in India and second largest in Asia, is built on river Satluj and creates the Ropar wetlands, also called the Ropar Lake.
