I had the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in Feb 2012, co-morbidities were Diabetes, Hypertension, and High Cholestrol. My starting weight was 389 lbs. I have lost 156 lbs in 9 months with NO more medical conditions. My wife and I were unable to concieve, but now my wife is 5 months pregnant. I look foward to a happy and healthly life with my family. Thank you to Dr. Eslami and staff for all they have done. Here is a piece of advise, Do Not hesitate to ask questions regarding Bariatric Surgery. Even with the struggles I went thru (gastric bleeding from ulcer due to taking anti-inflammatory medication right after surgery, now I am all healed) I feel GREAT!

I gained 80lbs during my pregnancy in my mid 20s and tried every diet and gimmick known to woman-kind, then yoyo'd for years. At 55 I flat gave up and knew I was going to die as a fat person. It took me a year to decide to have bariatric surgery…the deciding factor being that my HbA1C was elevated for the first time in my life. The surgery has changed my life! I have lost just shy of 100 lbs in less than a year and feel terrific. People that have not seen me in a while don't recognize me! This past winter, I could out ski anyone down the steepest of mountains...first across the finish line every time! I sleep better than I ever have and wake up feeling energized and exhilarated! Dr. Eslami and his staff were amazing and continue to show complete support throughout my wellness check-ups. I could not have imagined such fulfilling results.
