The first exam will be in the month of January 2019 and the second one will be in the month of April 2019.

NTA JEE Main 2019 will be a computer based test to be held from January 6 to 20 and again from April 7 to 21 for undergraduate engineering admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Registrations for NTA JEE Main 2019 for the January exam will be available from September 1 to 30, 2018. JEE Main applications for the April exam will be available in the second week of February. NTA will set up mock test practice centres in August to facilitate students with their preparation. There will be no change in syllabus, exam pattern, fee or language of the exam. To know all about the new JEE Main 2019 exam process, dates, salient features, pattern, syllabus and more, read the article below.

Currently, the exam is held in both online and offline modes, giving students the chance to pick between the two as per their comfort. Now that the exam is expected to be conducted only in online mode, candidates need to start taking mock tests from early stages to get familiar with exam process. Another factor, i.e. the exam being conducted twice a year has its pros and cons. On one hand, a candidate now gets to rely on two attempts to score well.

What is NTA?

It will be the conducting body of all the Examination that was being held by CBSE, AICTE and other such conducting bodies. The NTA would initially conduct those entrance examinations that are currently being conducted by the CBSE. Other examinations will be taken up gradually by the NTA. In this article, we will tell you what to expect this year in NTA JEE Main 2019 with the new conducting body, NTA in the scene. Also get the JEE Mains dates and how you can be ready for the most popular entrance exam of India in 2019.

The greatest confusion, however, is whether a student can or can’t appear for the exam twice in the same year. In case they can appear twice, then which of the two scorecards will be considered for admission- the better one or the latter one. Also, there will be concern over normalizing scores of candidates who appear in more than one session.
