            Aspergillosis is an allergic reaction, fungal growth, or an infection that is caused by the Aspergillus fungus. The Aspergillus fungus grows on decaying vegetation and some of the dead leaves. However, by a person getting exposed to the fungus, it is not a guarantee and given that the person will get aspergillosis. There are likelihoods that everyone encounters fungus on a daily life and chances of contracting the illness are low although. The disease is likely to catch people whose immune system is weak or those who are suffering from lung cancer.

            There are different types of Aspergillosis which affect the human body in different ways. Some types of conditions and medications increase one’s chances of developing each type of the disease. Below are the different types of Aspergillosis, Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA), Invasive Aspergillosis, and Aspergilloma. Although the above, different types of Aspergillosis have different symptoms, there are some general symptoms for Aspergillosis. Among the symptoms are chills, less urine, headaches, difficulties in breathing, blood in the urine, vision difficulties, pain in the chest and bones, skin sores, and bloody phlegm among many others.

            Aspergillosis is caused by the combination of the exposure to the Aspergillus fungus and having a weak immune system. It is carried to the body by marijuana leaves, stored grain, and compost piles. The disease is tested by doing a biopsy to body samples and testing the lung tissue. Aspergillosis is treated by medication which treats all types of the disease. Also, it can be treated by surgery if it has caused infections to the heart valves. After the patient has undergone surgery, they are given extensive antifungal treatment. It should also be noted that Aspergillosis is contagious thus easily transmitted to another person.
