1. Let’s Start With Battery

The batteries are the most critical part of the bike as they contain all the power which will drive you along.  The typical electric bike batteries usually generate 350-500 watts of power. Although you can use any battery, the best are the ones which last long without being too heavy. These day lithium-ion batteries are the most common although they are more expensive.

2. The Electric Motor

An electric bike motor is the centerpiece of any e-bike, and it is responsible for providing the thrust in the bike. In most of the electric bikes, there are hub motors which are built into the hub of the back or the front wheel.

3. The Frame

In the electric bike, it has to be different as well. The main part of the frame is made of lightweight aluminum alloy. The lighter the frame, the lighter is the weight of the bike in an overall sense, and you will be able to drive the bike further. The spokes on the wheel need to be strong as well than the traditional bikes. It is because the electric motor in the hub spins the wheel with a lot of torque and if the spokes are ordinary they will bend or buckle.

4. Brakes Can’t Be Ignored

There are electric bikes claim to use regenerative braking. When you start to pedal the bicycle or move downhill, the electric motor in the hub moves in reverse and charges the batteries. But as compared to the car or trains, the regenerative braking is not as useful in the e-bikes.

5. Display Panel

When you are riding a bicycle, you will need to make sure that it is equipped with the display panel.  You will be able to see the level of the battery and other things on it.
