What Makes the Celerio the Best Family Car?

Most cars from the stable of Maruti Suzuki have been good success stories. The same applies to the Maruti Suzuki Celerio as well. The Celerio is undoubtedly one of the most successful cars by Maruti Suzuki in recent times. The Celerio comes in petrol and CNG versions. The diesel engine on the Celerio was discontinued due to customers’ preference for CNG, owing to fuel efficiency. Spacious interiors

The Celerio is a hatchback that offers a spacious interior, and similar to every other Maruti Suzuki variant, the interior has been finished with top quality materials. The front seats are equipped with integrated headrests, which can be very comfortable for the occupants. The steering wheel in the top variant is fitted with mounted audio controls; the two-tone dashboard looks quite neat and tidy and the round air cons look stylish as well.

Good engine power

The Celerio is powered by a new 3 cylinder engine, which has a displacement of 998 CC to generate an impressive amount of power and torque. It is estimated to generate about 67 BHP of maximum power at 6000 RPM and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 RPM. The front wheel drive vehicle is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the most exciting part about the Celerio is that it will also have an option of an automated manual gearbox.

Other exciting features

Maruti Suzuki has also incorporated a lot of features, like Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted controls, into the top-end ZXi variant of the Celerio. There are also dual airbags and anti-lock brakes for the purpose of safety. There is adequate space at the back as well. Headroom and legroom are par for the course. Auto gear shift technology

Next is the auto gear shift technology, which promises to revolutionize driving in India. Maruti Suzuki has decided to equip the new Celerio with a transmission that cuts out the usage of the clutch while shifting gears. However, this is not exactly an automatic transmission that is found in other vehicles. Maruti Suzuki calls it the EZ drive, which is basically a mix of the manual and automatic transmission. There is also an M mode in which you can change the gear manually. But this type of transmission is only available with the LXi and the VXi variants.

Comfortable rear space

As for the rear seats, the Celerio has adequate space and from its exterior styling, it is very much evident that it also has impressive headroom. The rear seat is also spacious enough to accommodate a third person without any difficulty. Although the rear has a good enough boot space of 235 liters, in case that is not enough, there are also 60:40 rear split seats.

Similar to all the other hatchbacks, the Celerio also has been fitted with a McPherson strut with coil spring at its front and is coupled torsion beam axle with coil spring at its rear. Hence, the suspension setup is very much capable of handling uneven roads with ease. So, apart from blowing your mind with performance, the Celerio will also add fun to your daily ride. All these make Celerio a perfect car for the family.
