Don't be cheap and cut costs by choosing an amateur photography that may be a friend or fiend of a friend. If you want a professional result hire a professional. Remember you get what you pay for so there is not point saving money if you are a unhappy with the end results. 2. Research several photographers before making a final decision. Make sure that you ask to see a portfolio of their work and that they are professional and experienced. The last thing you want is an inexperienced photography on the day. 3. Ensure that you discuss the style of photography you prefer whether this is photojournalistic or more fashion wedding photography. It is important that your wedding photographer understands the style and look of the photographs you would like to achieve on the day. 4. When planning an outdoor wedding ceremony consider the time of day. Afternoon sunlight or shaded areas offer more options and better photographs. Midday is the worst time of day for photographs.
