Also, since kitchen is a space that is put to utility for a significant amount of time, you need to make sure that the space (by space I am strictly referring to the lighting of the space), should be energy efficient. Also consider keeping additional folding chairs in case the guests or the stuffs in the room are to be rearranged and replaced according to convenience of both the guest and the host.
