Sushma Swaraj assured all support to families of indians killed inthe planecrash

International News :External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday assured the families of the four Indians killed in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash and directed the Indian embassies in Ethiopia and Kenya to ensure every possible assistance for them.

Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed on Sunday after flying to Addis Ababa from Nairobi. There are 4 Indians in 157 people killed in this accident. One of these Indians was the Women Consultant of UNDP affiliated to the environment. In the list of deceased Indian nationals, Shankha Garg, a consultant UNDP affiliated to the Ministry of Environment, besides the names of Pannagesh Bhaskar Vaidya, Hansini Pannagesh Vaidya, Nalandwar Manisha are included.

In reply to a relative of the Vaidya family, Sushma Swaraj said that I have talked to Vaidya's son in Toronto. I am sad that you lost six members of your family in an air crash. My heartfelt condolences I have asked the Indian Embassy in Kenya and Ethiopia to contact you immediately.

They will provide help and support to all the members of your family. Responding to a tweet from a relative of N Manisha, the minister said that he has asked Indian High Commissioner Rahul Chhabda to Nairobi to provide all help and assistance to him. Sushma said that she is trying to contact Shika Garg's family.
