Travel to Mukhwa Village

Mukhwa village is a small village, which is the second residence of goddess Ganga. Mukhwa village is about 1 km away from Harsil. During the winter, when the valve (Kapat) of Gangotri temple is closed, then thereafter the statue of Goddess Ganga is brought to Mukhwa village and goddess Ganga is worshipped in this village for 6 months.
