The Reasons Why Your Engine May Broken Down

Automobile engine repair shops have become crucial for all kinds of maintenance. Whether its transmission or engine repairs, you can get your automobile serviced and fixed in a cost effective and time effective manner. Engines work overtime, and while running a lot of heat is released due to internal combustion. In the process, a lot of the parts of the engine need to be repaired to prevent it from breaking down.

How Fix An Engine During A Breakdown?

All of this happens in a small enclosed space where high-energy density fuel combusts to revolve the pistons. But, in some cases when your engine does breakdown, it can be highly problematic. Auto repair and maintenance services by ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) approved mechanics will look for the following possibilities if it doesn't start:

1.If you are out of gas, then the engine is getting air.

2.The air intake might be clogged, and the engine may not be getting enough air.

3.The fuel system might be supplying too much or too little fuel to the mix.

4.There might be impurities in the tank or the fuel.

If the air and fuel cannot be compressed properly, then it may due to lack of compression. Lack of compression may occur due to these reasons:

1.Your piston rings are worn which allows the fuel to leak past the pistons during compression.

2.The intake or exhaust valves are not sealing properly, again allowing a leak during compression.

3.There is a hole in the cylinder.

Many other things can go wrong. For example:

1.If the battery is dead, you cannot turn over the engine to start it.

2.If the bearings that allow the crankshaft to turn freely are worn out, the crankshaft cannot turn and the pistons will not revolve.

3.If the valves do not open and close at the right time or at all, air cannot get in and exhaust cannot get out, so the engine cannot run.

4.If you run out of oil, the piston cannot move up and down freely in the cylinder, and the engine will seize.

What Is ASE?

Looking for auto repair and maintenance services? It is best to go for a shop with ASE approved mechanics, who passed all the certification requirements. Along with two years of hands-on experience handy, the person has to pass a series of certificate tests. An ASE certification ensures that the quality of vehicle repairs and services improve.
