The Wedding of the King

For miles around, everyone had been invited to the wedding of the king and future queen. The king was a beloved leader, serving for years in his kingdom and always being a just and fair ruler to his people. The queen was also very well liked in the area, and everyone was happy for the couple. There were hopes that they would soon start a family and yield some heirs to the throne. Everyone who was invited made it a point to bring the king a beautiful gift that would signify their loyalty and love for him as their leader.
The guests had consisted of everyone from local workers to dignitaries of the highest order. The king's brother, a Duke in an adjoining region, had brought a large portion of his kingdom with him to Lavish attention on the king and future queen. Royalty from several different countries had made an appearance, pledging their support for the union and wishing them many years of unfettered happiness. The king and queen were truly blessed at the amount of attention that they received and love that they felt from their guests and the surrounding regions.
The feast that took place during the wedding was one of legend. It consisted of eight courses, each one more decadent and astonishing than the last. They had everything from bread baked with garlic, roasted meat, vegetables grown from within the kingdom and desserts made by the finest bakers in the land. All of this was augmented by a steady flowing supply of drink, including ale and wine. The feast was a great source of revelry, as everyone indulged in the available nourishment and danced the night away in tribute to the king and his beautiful wife. The feast itself lasted for twelve hours, and went well into the wee early morning hours of the next day.
The gifts that were lavished on the king and his bride were some of the most fantastic gifts ever seen in the entire Kingdom. The visiting royalty had commissioned jewelry makers from all corners of the globe to make beautiful jewelry for the queen that bore the kingdoms colors. They also commissioned the same individuals to fashion a new crown for the king bearing the same colors as the queen's jewelry. Some of the residents of the kingdom had made an oversized luxury bedding set for the king and queens new bed. The oversized luxury bedding was created in the colors of the Kingdom so that it would fit with the other gifts. The king and queen felt utterly blessed to have been given such fantastic gifts by those who they loved. Their wedding was a fantastic celebration, and they expected no gifts but were pleasantly surprised to see how well they were thought of by their servants and constituents.
The wedding of the king and queen was a celebration that would not be forgotten for many years. It would be talked about again and again, passed down through the generations as a time when the kingdom was at its peak. They had invited many guess, all of who were near and dear to them, they engaged in a feast that was never seen before and were given some of the nicest gifts imaginable, such as custom jewelry and oversized luxury bedding. Everything went perfectly, and the king and queen's union was off to a fantastic start, remaining that way for the entirety of their lives.
