Covering the Face for women while Ihram

Ihram is certainly a special dress of pilgrims who must wear before entering the Holy sanctuary of Mecca in order to perform Hajj or Umrah. There are two parts of Ihram which are worn by both men and women pilgrims in different ways. This white color cloth is mandatory to proceed to a religious obligation.

There are several conditions regarding Ihram both for men and women. But here we are going to discuss covering the face for women in the state of Ihram. First of all, they should wear it at typical Miqat which is also obligatory. After performing the complete rites of Hajj or Umrah, women are allowed to veil their faces whatever they cover either full or half. “O Rasool! It will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be irritated. And Allah is Ever Generous, Most Merciful” [al-Ahzaab 33:59]
