Woven-Parkettboden - A much more sustainable option

Woven-Parkettboden is made of Massivholzbalken. If the first thing that has come to your mind is a deforested Asian forest, forget it. Bamboo is not really a wood, but a tropical herbaceous that grows very quickly. It sprouts every year and is an invasive species, so its replanting is not necessary. However, the one used in the timber industry grows in controlled and certified plantations.

In addition, it is the fastest growing species on earth: up to one meter each day. Hence, it only takes between 5 and 6 years to fully mature, compared to 70 years that an oak needs, for example. The species that is grown to make soils is called "moso" and is not what panda bears eat and to top it off: bamboo absorbs, on average, 30% more CO2 than trees.

A unique aspect:

The bamboo canes have natural veins that are unique and give an oriental and colonial look to the ground that is irresistible. They can be left with their natural light color or undergo different thermal treatments that give them a more than color.

Its natural shine and feel are also unmatched and it is more slip resistant than other woods. Did you feel like putting bamboo parquet on your flat?

Variety of possibilities:

Not only is the heat treatment option available to make the Bambus-Parkett get a more or less tan color. The cutting of the cane and the arrangement of its natural knot also gives a game when creating a greater variety of wefts. For example, if the cane is glued horizontally, the knot is more visible than if the cane is glued vertically.
