Deals Provided by Tour Operators Make Umrah Packages Cheaper

Umrah is one of the important pilgrimages in Islam and is referred to as the 'lesser pilgrimage' or 'minor pilgrimage'. The major pilgrimage is Hajj, which is also one of Islam's five pillars and an obligation for all the able-bodied and financially capable Muslims. Although the lesser pilgrimage is not compulsory, it is held in high regard by Muslims as it is Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Sunnah. Contrary to the major pilgrimage of Hajj, Umrah can be performed at any time during the year and is usually accomplished within a few hours as it involves a lesser number of rituals compared to the major pilgrimage.

Another effective way of reducing the overall cost involved in making the journey to Makkah is to book the desired package several months in advance. Most of the tour operators in the country would provide significant discounts on packages that are booked well in advance.  

Since the past couple of years, many of the tour operators have been informing the potential pilgrims about the cheap Umrah deals through their social media channels. The UK Muslims can stay updated on such deals by being active on these social media sites. They can also get the chance to reduce the cost of their packages by booking immediately when such offers are made available. Savings made through these deals can be utilised by the pilgrims during their time spent in the holy city for buying souvenirs or visiting the important Islamic sites in and around Makkah.

During the times when pagan Arabs resided at this place, it was believed to have been called 'Al Amin'. According to a legend, this is the place where the first of men resided and were buried after their death.
