DARJEELING

You can also visit the Ghoom Monastery built in 1857, where you will find a 15ft statue of future Buddha. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute here is world famous for all the right reasons. The PN Zoological Park, Ten zing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre, the Japanese Temple and the Batasia Loop are the other main attractions of Darjeeling.

MEGHALAYA

SHILLONG

The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ is a plateau surrounded by the Khasi Hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots and is oft visited in North East Tour Packages. You can visit Mawllynnong village which is the cleanest village in India. Nearby there are interesting sights like the living Root Bridge and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock. While returning enroute you can visit the Shillong Peak for some enchanting views.

ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Itanagar the state capital is famous for the Ita Fort, the legendary Ganga Lake, Gompa Buddha Vihar and other architectural wonders.
