Sex should not be treated as a taboo. Failed discussions and improper knowledge combined with the curiosity about sex is inevitable that something will go wrong. Thus, teaching them to say no will not teach them the repercussions of sex. It is necessary to have more than a one-time chat with your child to avoid STD and teen-pregnancy. The talks about safe sex and pregnancy prevention should be more prevalent in schools. Abstinence-only education does not work according to research, while information can also be provided at home. It is imperative that schools partake in the discussion and impart more comprehensive sex education as delay may lead to teenage sex addiction therapy.

The primary goal of abstinence-only education is to teach kids to say no. Research has shown that abstinence-only education does not affect the rates of teenage sexual activity. The teaching fails time, and again and it fails to teach them to have safe sex. However, it is crucial to note that sex education does not encourage kids to have sex either. It teaches them to do it safely.

CONDOMS DO NOT ENCOURAGE SEX:

The dilemma most adults have with the distribution of condoms in schools has been that it promotes sex. While research about abstinence-only proves that it does not stop kids from having sex, the studies about condom distribution have proved that it does not encourage kids to be more promiscuous. Thus, teaching or providing sex education does not have a downside. Distribution of condoms encourages them to use them, but it will only happen when they would be having sex anyway.

TEACH BOYS TO BE GOOD MED

A study found that parents who talk to their male children about sex openly are more likely to go to a doctor. The parents should set a good example for the children. Most boys avoid taking care of their health due to toxic views about masculinity so the parents should try to break that viewpoint.

ONE OUT OF 2 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAS HAD SEX

According to the various surveys and reports, around 41 percent of high school students have had sex at least once. Almost half the sexually active have used a condom the last time they had sex. It has been found that those who use a condom for the first time they had intercourse are more likely to use a condom.

COMPREHENSIVE SEX-ED PROVIDES INFORMATION

Comprehensive education about sex does not encourage ideas to have sex. Those who wish to have sex will do it regardless, it provides everyone with knowledge about the safety of various practices while combating ignorance about the same.

PARENTS SHOULD TEACH ABOUT FAITH

Providing knowledge of comprehensive sex education allows the parents to morally educate the children about personal religious beliefs and behavioral expectations. For extreme cases of addiction, you can enroll your child for a teenage sex addiction treatment.
