When it comes to your child’s primary education, there is nothing more important than picking the best school for their mental and physical growth. It is probably the most important decision you will make for your child. Picking a good school could lead your child to a successful college education and a successful career. Pick a wrong one and your child could turn into a delinquent. How’s that for pressure?

But don’t worry! We have some very useful tips when it comes to picking good schools in Pune for your little one. Here are some of them:

1)      Research thoroughly- We cannot stress this enough but please research thoroughly about good schools in Pune. Before you filter schools that you might be interested in, have a clear idea about what your child’s needs are such as, do they need more attention than a normal student? Do they work better in classrooms with less or more students? Etc. Once you have the answers to these questions, make a list of schools. Check out the school websites, ask your colleagues or friends/family, and scour through Quora and Google reviews.

2)      Make a checklist- Make a checklist of what you expect from good schools in Pune such as infrastructure, class sizes, location, extracurricular activities, etc. Once you have made the list, check off the schools that have these things and get disregard the schools that do not have them.

3)      Choose a school closer to your house- Pune is a large city with limited public transportation so it takes longer to travel large distances. Thus, choose a school that is closer to your house so it is easily accessible. If the school is close to your house, your child will have to spend less time traveling and will get more time to do the things they like. The child can also come back home quickly in case of emergencies or illness.

4)      Pay a visit to the schools- Once you have shortlisted schools in Pune, it is important to visit them. Though this can be time-consuming, it will prove beneficial to you. Meet all the teachers, the principal, the administration staff, etc. Remember to ask a lot of questions like what the teaching styles of the teachers are, what the educational qualifications of the teachers are, what are the extra-curricular activities, etc.

5)      Trust your instincts- The most important tip we can give is to trust your instinct. You know your child better than anyone and if you get a vibe that the school is not right for your child, then do not take admission in that school. Your instincts are a better judge than any online reviews or anyone’s opinions. Every parent must follow above tips while searching for schools in Pune.

Your child is going to spend the next 12 years of their life in the school you choose so it is important to pick a school that guarantees both mental and physical growth of the child. Remember to stay calm and take your time to choose from a variety of good schools in Pune. Good luck!
