If you saw a dancing lemon on the corner of Van Raalte Avenue and 18th Street on Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t the heat getting to you — it was just the Little Lemons from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland promoting their annual lemonade stand.quality modern office furniture

Program members, third- and fourth-graders at the club, took turns taking money, making lemonade, twirling signs and serving drinks at a lemonade stand outside the club’s south side location.

The program lasts for several weeks throughout the summer. Kids learn different aspects of the business world, including marketing, budgeting and being an entrepreneur.

The kids offered up regular or pink lemonade for .50 per cup from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. All funds raised will go toward purchasing new furniture for the elementary room at the Boys & Girls Club.

The Little Lemons program, now in its third year, is run by Kaite Muñoz, community engagement coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club. While the stand was open, Muñoz was managing the kids and making sure kids got a turn at each job.
