Every guard gated entrance in Henderson, NV shares the same basic format. An air-conditioned building housing between 1 and 2 guards divides the two directions of traffic. On the side that allows traffic into the community there are 2 lanes. 1 of the lanes is for guests and the other is for residents. A transponder allows residents the ability to automatically life the boom barrier and proceed into the community. It is typically placed inside the window of the residents’ vehicles. The other lane allowing traffic into the community funnels traffic to the on-site guards. They will use a unique process to verify the guests’ access. Multiple cameras face both directions and monitor everyone coming and going. There are subtle differences in how each community is guarded.

Anthem Country Club

In addition to the guarded gate, these communities have 24-hour patrols that add an additional layer of security. These guards carry guns and have the ability to ticket residents and gusts who speed or park their vehicles in the wrong spaces. The ticket will go directly to the resident who is currently occupying the home. This should be noted for all Anthem Country Club Homes for Sale. For example, if a guest is speeding the homeowner will be responsible for paying that ticket. Another difference is when guests arrive at the gate, turn by turn directions are provided. The printout also can be placed on the dashboard. This lets the patrolling security guards know the vehicle is approved to the in the community.

The Grand Legacy

When arriving at guarded gates the mature landscaping accents the stylish iron gates. The staff at these communities is employed by a local security firm. They are not armed and there is no mobile patrol that monitors inside the community. The guards will ask guests for their photo identification and make a copy. Additional security steps include calling residents for permission and notating the license plate of all vehicles visiting. Special notations are made for large commercial vehicles. There is also a second gate within The Grand Legacy that leads to custom estates. The 2nd gate is accessed by a transponder, key code, or by calling the homeowner.

Heritage at Cadence

This is the only age restricted (55+) guard gated community in Henderson, NV. While new homes are being built and sold the gates will remain open. However, after construction is complete the community will only allow access to residents and their approved guests. The setup will be very similar to the gates of The Grand Legacy. There will not be a mobile guard on the day or evening shifts. At this time, it is unclear if the guards will be employees (just like the staff at the clubhouse), or if they will be contracted through a company. Either solution will provide high quality security for the seniors who reside in Heritage.
