Most of the UV filters use some form of external sediment pre-filters to remove undissolved impurities and activated carbon to remove chlorine and other dissolved impurities. It is the most simple and environment-friendly technique to get clean water.
4. Gravity-Based Purifiers comprise of sediment and activated carbon filters which can remove large and un-dissolved impurities like mud and sand along with chemicals. These types of filters are easy to install and directly fitted on taps. These filters are useful when water does not have a higher concentration of chemicals and salt.
