Today laundry on demand has brought the best homemade tricks for different types of stains. Read on the following tips:

Oil or grease:

If the stain is recent, made over talcum powder so that it absorbs all the fat or you can apply touches with white chalk. Let dry, brush them and, if there are any remains, remove them with cotton impregnated.

If the stain is already dry, rub it with cotton wool impregnated with ether, with movements from the outside inwards, to avoid furrows.

Another trick if the grease stain is dry and old is to soak overnight in a solution of vinegar and water (more vinegar than water). Then apply soap on the area, leave on for a few minutes and wash.

If the stain is from recent machine grease, remove grease that has not penetrated with a knife. Wet the cloth with boiling milk, rub it with turpentine and cover it with talcum powder. 3 hours later, brush it and repeat the operation. If it is old, cover with butter 24 hours and repeat the same process.

If the stain is on a silk garment, the stain should be soaked for 12 hours in detergent.

Tar stains:

The best remedy is the prewash in the sprayer, mineral water, or turpentine. Baby oil can leave a stain and the others can remove the color, so try first. Rub with a soft brush until the tar comes out and then wash with detergent and water.

Asphalt (Bitumen):

On colored fabrics or non-washable fabrics, treat with a little alcohol mixed with 2 parts of water. On white fabrics, use undiluted alcohol.

Pen ink:

There are several tricks to remove stains produced by the ink of a pen:

• If it is recent, it can be removed with cold water. Then, gently pass alcohol or liquid detergent or try the salt, hot milk or lemon.

• Spray the affected part with hairspray and then wipe clean and dry cloth and wash.

• Dip the stain in boiling milk until the milk is colored, repeat this process until you have a yellow spot, or leave it in the hot milk for 10 or 15 minutes. Change the milk and reheat it again to repeat the process until the stain has left.

Coffee:

Rub the stain with a solution consisting of one part of alcohol, another of white vinegar and another of water. Leave on for a few minutes and then wash the garment as usual.
