How to Change Gmail Password on iPhone?

Gmail users change their password for various including security. If you want to change Gmail password on iPhone, you can do it in some simple steps. Here we have discussed some easy steps to change Gmail password on iPhone.

Steps to change Gmail password on iPhone:

  1. Go to Gmail app on your iPhone. Click menu icon denoted by three lines.
  2. Go to settings and then your account. Now click on manage your Google account. If you are not using Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.
  3. Click on personal info at the top.
  4. In the profile section, click on Password.
  5. Create a new password. Re-enter the new password.
  6. Click on Change password.

Change Gmail password on iPhone via web browser

You can also change your Gmail password on iPhone via web browser, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gmail login page through Gmail website. Enter your Gmail ID in the field “Email or phone”. Click on Next to continue.
  2. Enter your mobile number to get verification code for changing Gmail password.
  3. Provide your linked phone number in the field provided and click on the button “Send text message”. You will get a verification code on your phone number. Enter this code to verify your phone number.
  4. In case, you have not registered any phone number or if you don’t have access to the linked phone number, you have other options available to change your password. Click on “Try a different question”.
  5. Send an email address which you can access. Gmail will send a verification code to that email address. Enter this code to change Gmail password iPhone.
  6. Once you enter correct code received on your phone number or the alternate Email address, you will be allowed to reset password of Gmail on iPhone.
  7. Create a strong password this time.
  8. Now you have successfully changed your Gmail password.

You can change your password using the Mail, Contacts, Calendars section also:

  1. Go to settings on your iPhone.
  2. Select “Mail, Contacts, calendars”.
  3. Go to your Gmail account and go to account settings.
  4. Go to Account.
  5. Click on Password and enter the new password.
  6. Click on Done.

Password recovery can also be done by answering security questions that may be regarding your date of birth or when you logged in last time. If your answers are found to be correct, you will be directed to the password recovery page.
