Registration process:

The registration is done online where there’s one form for applying into almost all DU colleges, except for colleges like Jesus and Mary which has its own separate portal. It is extremely important to fill the form, failure in doing so might result in you losing your chance in the university.

The registration process begins in the third week of May and ends in the first week of June with the first admissions list coming out in the first week of June.

Cut Offs

The registration portal is where you’ll find the cut off lists too. The cut-offs come a few days after the result is out. The first cut-offs might go as high as 98.5 for top colleges.

What you need to keep in mind is that you should get into whatever college you make to in the first cut-offs and switch your college later if you get a chance at a better college. There are as many as 10 cuts off lists that come out.

Some might get out even after the new session has begun. For the general category, most of the seats are taken by the 3rd or the 4th cut-off.

Entrance Exams

The registration form for the entrance exams is different and the exams are held mostly at the beginning of June and the results come out within a month. The entrances are for popular courses like Business Management Studies, Business Economics, Mass Communication etc.

The online registration this year starts from the 3rd week of May and ends in the 1st week of June. The Hall ticket will be released from the third week of June 2019 and the admissions list will start coming out in the second week of July.

The results will come out in July with the declaration of ranks and subsequent merit lists.

The final admissions will be held for around 1162 seats which are subject to variation depending upon the availability of seats. It is important to note that along with the student’s rank, their CBSE class 12th result defines their final rank.
