When it comes to religious obligations, Children learn from the environment of your home and from their elders. It is the duty of the parents to teach good habits to their children and to have them understand different aspects of Islam. Ramadan is a month of blessings and children really feel excited for this month even though fasting is not compulsory for them. Anyways, it is a good sign that your children take an interest in such things.

How to make children understand and take part in Ramadan?

Don't be strict:

Parents should not be strict at all and they should allow their children to observe the routine of fasting. If they want to take part then they should encourage them. If they wake up at Sehr timings then don't be rigid to them but encourage them and explain to them about the rules of Sheri. Islam does not allow strictness with your children so be kind to them and tell them anything that they ask from you about Ramadan or any other aspect of Islam.

Tell them about Ramadan values:

You should tell your children about the value of Ramadan in Islam. It is a month to be kind to each other, donate to the needy people, willpower, self-control, and virtues. Even if your child is too young, you must involve in such kinds of things. There are many families you cannot afford good clothes and toys for their children. Tell your children to take out some clothes and toys and donate them to needy children.

Involve them in prayers:

Ramadan is the month in which the spirit of all the Muslims for offering prayer is at the peak. At prayer time, you should involve your kids as well and encourage them for this. When you will be reciting Quran, even then you should engage them and if they are too young and cannot recite Quran then you should give them Tasbih and suggest them to read Kalimah Tayyibah on it.

Inform your child's teacher:

Another way to motivate your child for the first thing is to inform his teacher. In this way your child will feel proud the next time; he will try to continue the practice of fasting. Children always want to be in the good books of the teachers. When you will inform his teacher, he will really be encouraged. Another great idea is to arrange the Iftar party for his friends when he will be fasting.

Ramadan is the month of blessings and neither you nor your kids should miss these blessings. In the month of Ramadan, you get the spirit for religious matters. It has also been said that the blessings of Ramadan become much more if you follow the fasting practice while performing Umrah. You can also think about performing Umrah this month and you can look for cheap Ramadan Umrah packages from UK. There are many travel agents that have been working in the UK and they are providing cheap packages for Umrah.
