Hair Loss Treatments For Men -- What Really works?

The moment that you realize that you're actually losing nice hair is a moment every man dislikes. Even if he says you won't bother him you can be sure that deep down within it does. The sad simple truth is that approximately 80% of men will suffer from male pattern hairloss to some extent throughout their lives. So no matter if you're 16 or 60 when your hair starts to go you'll want to do something about it.

The biggest problem with men losing their hair is that you're built to feel less of a man because all those guys in the aftershave and deodorant ads... yes they all have full heads of hair. But that's advertising for you folks and it's really not reality so don't allow it get to you. Having hair is great but not having hair teaches you a lot more about yourself than you might realize.

But before I turn off on a tangent!

What options do you have as it pertains down to treating nice hair loss?

Hair Systems
Ahhh the good old hair system, hair piece or wig. These have been around for thousands of years and were even employed by some of the early Roman Emperors to cover up their hair loss problems (yup even Emperors worry about hair loss). Modern hair systems attended a long way and with a combination of using lightweight base materials and real human hair a good hair system can be almost undetectable.

Topical Treatments
A single odd side effect from a hypertension drug gave us probably the most popular hair loss "lotion" in existence -- Rogaine. Rogaine is great for stimulating growth of hair and when combined with DHT inhibitors like Azelaic acid it can be very effective in treating early to mid-stage male pattern hairloss. Rogaine was originally sold as a 2% solution but right now you can get it in a 15% solution which will provide better results. There are lots and tons of other hair loss lotions out there but Rogaine is the only person actually proven to have any effect at all. That's not saying that other treatments don't worry -- I recently haven't seen any proof.

By mouth Treatments
You have two choices when it comes to by mouth (pill based) hair loss treatments. You can take a natural DHT blocker like Saw Palmetto berries remove pills. Or you can use the prescription only medication Propecia (Finasteride) or Avodart (Dutasteride). Either way the result you're looking for is that these will block the production of DHT in the top of the head and help you regrow most of the hair you've lost. The one downside here is that both Propecia and Avodart have a pretty long list of side-effects so make sure you're aware of these before you start treatment.

Hair Transplants
There was a time when hair transplants would actually leave you looking far, far worse than before the surgery. The results were terrible and the surgery was just short of butchery. Times have changed though and hair restoration cosmetic surgeons now can transplant a single hair at a time and never having to cut away large strip of skin for donor hair. FUE hair transplants have made natural and affordable results possible now for almost every guy out there. If you want to see what's possible then Google Doctor. Cole or Doctor.زراعة الشعر في تركيا Umar -- I'm in no way affiliated with these cosmetic surgeons. Just check out what they can do.

Shaving
Last but not least is the option of simply shaving nice hair off. Its not all guy is pleased with this and not every guy can live with it but if you're looking for an option that's favored by The movies stars (and let's face facts anything looks better than a combover) and costs almost nothing to maintain then buzzing nice hair short is the way to go.

What treatment you use is going to be down to how comfortable you are with yourself. Some people will need to have a full wild hair to feel "normal". If so then just do what you ought to do. If you're pleased with just shaving your head then do that. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to these items.
