Sea route to Baratang

          The Directorate of Shipping Services has once again re- introduced sea route to Baratang from dec 11 onwards. By availing, the Tourist would now have an opportunity to explore the untapped scenic view and exciting narrow ride through dense mangrove forest.

          In order to attract more tourists towards sea route to baratang and considering the persistent demand of the residents of  The above service will be available on every day and Baratang and adjoining area, the Directorate has planned itinerary as per the following. will give an opportunity to tourists who wish to go to Baratang from Swaraj dweep and also to those, who intend to go to swaraj dweep from Baratang.

         The fare structure for islanders as well as for tourists for the above itinerary are as follows. Intending commuters can purchase advance tickets for the above schedule from the ticketing counter of Department of IP&T, Port Blair. The remaining tickets, if any, shall however be issued from STARS ticketing counter, two days prior to sailing of the vessel. General Puplic as well as tourists have been requested to avail this opportunity.
