How do I remotely access Northwell Remote Access Portal NSLIJ ESS RAP Login?

Login will be for one full year, and then your account will be reset, but you must log in again to access the Portal again. You need to provide your username for the RAP login.

How do I view the NSLIJ on the web northwell remote access portal?

To setup the Remote Access Portal on your Mac using Mac OS X Server and Terminal you need to open Terminal application and type following command:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure openssh-server

Now Terminal will restart automatically when you restart your Mac. If you open Terminal now you will have to type following command to access the Portal.

openssh-server -L

If you are using VNC connection to access Remote Access Server and you have configured VNC Server on local network then you need to type following command to access the Remote Access Portal from your Mac:

ssh -L 3389:localhost:3389 openws-laptop

Now type these two commands, if everything is successful, press Enter (No error message if you are not using VNC connection).

Now you can use remote access portal from your Mac.

How do I access a remote computer using vportal remote access northwell?

The computer can be accessed using Vportal-based remote access northwell, or Vportal itself using a web browser. You can also use the Vportal-connected Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. This does not have to be a V-viewer, but you may want to connect your Viewer via a USB port if this is your preference.

There are three ways to connect to a remote computer with Vportal. Note, however, that connecting to a remote computer using Viewer 1 can impact Vportal connectivity.

Included is the server software with an extension: OpenVR. This allows you to connect a USB-connected PC to any computer on your home network without any additional hardware. Using this client software you can access any computer on your PC with a USB port without any additional hardware. This client can also be used for other VR applications, such as controlling a Wii or using Google Cardboard.

How to Setup the northwell health remote access portal on?

To install and register an northwell health portal you will need an email address and a computer with Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista (SP2). Northwell health portal is a free service and is offered to all of our remote users and does not require an account on our servers.

Registering an account on our servers is only necessary to download and install the latest server and client software if needed. Please note that this registration requires the ability to login to the northwell platform. For that reason, please register through a browser or a web app instead of an email address. We will need this information for technical troubleshooting purposes.

If I am an employee of Northwell, can I login to Northwell Health Remote Access Portal or NSLIJ RAP easily through NSLIJ ESS?

Northwell Health allows for remote access for an employee to the portal via the secure VPN, but that access does not allow the employee to access patient records. Employee access to patient information may only be used by employees who have appropriate clearance, including a valid HIPAA Security Clearance by Health Care Facilities (SH-1) or equivalent designation issued by the National Security and Intelligence Agencies (see below) and an approved Access Management System (AMS) account or equivalent, depending on the specific facility. Access to NSLIJ RAP is available to employees in a variety of settings, including health plans, insurance companies, HCA and other institutional providers.
