But this comfort is not only there to spend a pleasant time in these seats, it is particularly present to take care of your health and especially your back! This is too rarely considered, but spending time sitting in the wrong chair or in the wrong posture can damage your back in the long run. These gaming chairs catch the eye for their designs. Choose your gaming seat

The first thing to consider is to know if the esports gaming chair will be suitable for your body, via your size, but above all via your weight. The manufacturers of gaming chairs indicate the load that the seat can receive and it generally starts at 100 or 120 kg. Some indicate the recommended size for the chair; however always check the dimensions of the armchair, and the more you go upmarket the more the seat can be adapted for larger sizes. Then you have to know which coating would suit you best. You can find 3 different types on the market:

Faux leather, but mainly PU leather is the most used. It is synthetic leather which imitates it fairly well, but which is less durable and therefore less expensive.

Real leather is the most expensive, but also the most resistant, while letting the skin breathe better unlike PU leather, being especially useful in summer in the face of perspiration.

Synthetic fiber fabric is known to have a softer feeling, it also lets the skin breathe, while being the cheapest, but it can be stained and damaged more easily. Regarding the foam below, the manufacturers give quite few details on this subject; you should turn to cold foam, which for reference is a type of foam used for medium and high mattresses range.

Cushions will almost always be provided with the gaming chair, usually one for the head and one for the lumbar. The shapes of these cushions may differ depending on the brand and the price range.

Then, in addition to the height and tilt settings of the gaming chair, you will first have to look at the tilt of the backrest, and the type of armrest. Regarding the inclination, make sure that the gaming chair has an adjustable angle backrest. The chair must be able to recline beyond a 90 ° angle and one at 180 °. And on the types of armrests, there are 5 different types:

  • 1D armrests: Height adjustment
  • 2D armrests: Height and lateral adjustment
  • 3D armrests: Height adjustment, lateral and front to back

4D armrests: Height, side, front to back and rotation adjustment
