If you do not play an instrument but do not want to sing a cappella, you can opt for the "instrumental karaoke" option. There are many on Youtube, there are many channels dedicated to karaoke.

These videos can be a good way to train, however you have to pay attention, again, to the tone. When you use a video to practice singing you cannot manipulate the tone and you will, therefore, force yourself to sing on a tone which is not necessarily your own, which obviously is not good for your voice. Music production in USA

You can also opt for “acoustic” karaoke, which is to say that rather than imitating the original song, you can sing as if you were accompanied by an instrument and you were singing a song in acoustic. You can choose the instrument that you like the most, many channels are dedicated to the guitar or the piano. The advantage of these instrumental videos is that often you have the choice between several tones.

I suggest some songs and some videos to train you. You can practice on J'Demandé A La Lune d'Indochine with this song which takes the original instrumental of the song: here. For another song in French you can start singing with La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf in the original instrumental version or in acoustic version with the interpretation of Louis Armstrong: here in instrumental version or here in acoustic. For a song in English and acoustics, you can start singing with a John Lennon classic: Imagine. The Youtube channels that post the videos that I offer post lots of other karaoke videos, so if you want to search for another song you can stroll on their channel.

I repeat myself but it is fundamental, pay attention to the tone, if the video does not suit you you can change the song. Don't force yourself if the tone isn't yours.

I offered you a few songs from different registers. I still offer you a small non-exhaustive list of songs from which you can pick to start singing:

Bob Marley - Redemption Song

Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know

Kyo - Last Dance

Ray Charles - Hit The Road Jack

Fools Garden - Lemon Tree

Lana Del Rey - Video Games

Francis Cabrel - Petite Marie

Johnny Hallyday - I Promise You

To conclude, your first song will have a certain place in your heart and will be very important since it will make you discover the song. Choose a song you like, which you enjoy singing.
