Skin problems and kidney diseases!

Kidneys are created for sifting wastes from your blood with the urine. They produce hormones that make red blood cells and regulate your high blood pressure. Furthermore, kidneys balance the level of nutrients and fluid in your body.

When the kidneys become ill, then wastes accumulate in your blood and cause various complications in which skin problems are prevalent. If you’re aware little bit about kidney problems and its related difficulties, then through this blog, you can gain more knowledge about skin problems and kidney diseases.

People with kidney disease or who are on dialysis might observe some changes in their skin. There are commonly three skin problems that occur when you’re suffering from kidney disease and taking dialysis – itching (pruritus), dry skin (xerosis), and skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation). In case, if you are facing any of the following skin problems, then consult a health care provider because these can be a sign of kidney disease. For complete kidney disease remission, you can opt for Ayurvedic medicine for the kidney.

1. Itching (pruritus):- The patients who are taking dialysis, whether it is hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, may be facing the problem of itching. It happens due to the high level of phosphorus in the body. Dialysis does not treat kidney disease; it only removes wastes from your body. But, it does not work completely like kidneys and not remove potassium, phosphorus, and sodium from your body. That is the reason why people now prefer Ayurvedic medicine for kidney disease, instead of dialysis. Ayurvedic medications work to revive the damaged nephrons and clusters of the kidneys so that they can filter your blood and remove unnecessary substances. Whenever you notice you’re itching more than you usually do, then talk about it to your doctor or try to maintain a phosphorus level at 5.5 or less.

The following are some of the reasons that cause itching.

  • An allergy to the blood tubing,
  • Dialyzer (artificial kidney), or
  • Heparin being used during dialysis.

Try to take natural treatment for your kidney disorder, and follow a renal diet plan that do not cause side effects.

2. Dry skin (xerosis):- Dry skin is a complication of end-stage renal failure. It mostly notices in patients with kidney failure. The problem of dry skin occurs due to the changes in the sweat glands and oil glands. Dry skin can increase the risk of skin infections, skin wounds, and the problem of itching.

The following are the tips and tricks that you can use to treat dry skin.

  • Not take long, hot showers or baths,
  • Use soaps that have natural, pure ingredients, instead of harsh perfumes and chemicals,
  • Apply a moisturizer that has natural ingredients like aloe vera, or oatmeal,
  • Avoid creams or lotions with alcohol, or
  • Take Ayurvedic medicine for kidney disorders.

3. Skin discoloration:- People with end-stage renal disease may have noticed discolored skin or hyperpigmentation. There are two causes of skin discoloration, and they are:

  • When the pigments ( urochromes) being retained in the skin, which should be excreted by the kidneys with the urine.
  • Uremic frost is another discoloration, which is a white, powdery substance that emerges on the skin after the sweat dries. It happens because of the high levels of sodium, and phosphorus in your blood.

Before starting any treatment for your kidney disorder once check its side effects. Dialysis is a method that will augment the number of your problems instead of treating your kidney disease. So, opt for a treatment like Ayurvedic medicine for a kidney, which not only terminates your problems but also rejuvenates your failed kidney and its parts.
