Picture representation by PowerPoint Designers

A few days ago, we received a document with a maximal number of images. We are advocated to improve those images in other tools and use them here. When we explained what can be done in PowerPoint, the client was wonderstruck. Because many are unaware of the Picture tools in PowerPoint.

1. Using Plain image with Text in PowerPoint: We can use the image as-is disseminating the whole slide and place the text above it
2. How to give an Image a Shape in PowerPoint: We can give shapes to images. Let’s see the demonstration of giving shapes to pictures
a)Filling a shape with a picture:
Insert the desired shape
Save the image in the destination folder
Right-click the shape. Go to “Format shape”
Then, under “Fill” menu, choose “Picture or texture fill”
Choose “Insert” in the “Picture Source”
Select “From a file” and open that image in the destination folder
As a result of these steps, now the shape is converted into an image
b)Converting Picture
Copy that image in the PowerPoint
Then, select “Picture tools” and go to “Size”
Finally, under “Crop”, click “Crop to Shape” to convert the picture to a shape
PowerPoint Designer pointing out the difference: Though the output may be the same, either way, there lies a vast difference between them. For example, when a shape is converted into an image, we can edit the shape with the help of “Drawing tools” and edit the image with the aid of “Picture tools” up to a certain extent. As a result, we can edit the color of the image, but cannot give preset borders to the picture. In contrast, when a picture is converted into shape, we will have the option only to edit the picture but cannot access the wide options of editing the shape, as the “Drawing tools” option will be disabled/not seen while doing this way. That is to say, we convert a picture into a shape or fill the shape with a picture depending upon the requirement

3.Editing Image: Let’s explore some options of the “Picture Tools”
Remove Background: Assume we have an image of a car with a background to be used for Title. But we need the car image alone without the background. This option lends us a hand. While clicking on the image, we can decide what are the areas we are keeping and what others are we removing
Correctness: We can play with the brightness/contrasts/sharpness of the image using this option
Color: This is a convenient tool to change the color of the picture according to the template we use. Based on the “Template” color, we get the color options
Artistic effects: To give artistic touch check this tool and it shows the options
Compress Pictures: When the template is having a handful of images, consequently it will lead to increased file size. To reduce the size, this tool gives us options to reduce in our required way
Change Picture: At any time we can change the picture
Reset picture: Always there is a way to reset the picture to get back to its original texture
Picture styles: Try this list of options to give the picture a stylish look
Arrange: Either bring it front or send it back, furthermore, play with your image, rotate it, besides, align with other objects/images
Size: Crop the picture, resize it, change the image to a different shape. These are possible with this menu
