Posted by Stephenroy on February 10th, 2020

Insomnia has become a daunting issue in the life of many, about 70% of the people in the world are said to be victims of Insomnia. When a person suffers from insomnia, the one won’t be able to stay asleep for long hours in the bed due to uneasiness and frequent awakenings. This condition disturbs your whole cycle of life, with little or no sleep.

This results in having a dull mood throughout the day, feeling less energetic, tired and even drowsy. There a number of causes for insomnia, such as stress, hormonal imbalances, genetic problems, improper use of medicines for long, etc. Also, sudden disturbances in the circadian rhythm as in weather changes, noise pollution, etc. can all induce insomnia.

My journey on how I tackled insomnia and got back to a normal healthy lifestyle is jotted down in this article. Basically, you need to know that, there are 3 major types of insomnia such as Transient insomnia, acute insomnia, and chronic insomnia. The differences between these are mainly the time factor, i.e., how long the disorder lingers. You can find a remedy from Thecanadiandrugs4less for your insomnia issue and have quick relief.

A few tips that I would like to roll down for you, are those through which I fought insomnia successfully. They are; -

  • Drink plenty of water

Our body needs an ample amount of water to maintain a smooth functioning within. Having lot of water along with healthy diets will make your physical and mental health fit, also it will help to maintain balances of your hormones.

Having plenty of water throughout the day and also prior to your bedtime will help you tackle your insomnia with no time. The reason behind this is that water helps your body to ooze out the stress and make you relaxed, which is essential to get to sleep.

  • Create a comfortable environment for sleeping

Each person has their own requirements for having a good sleep. The general ones among them are dark or dim lighted room, less noisy ambiance, comfortable mattress, etc.

Even if the nature of each person varies, make sure your habits are healthy and don’t interrupt the sleep cycle. And if you are keen on having certain requirements such as a comfortable mattress, darkroom, and less noisy ambiance. Do make sure you don’t make a compromise on them, for Sleep must always be your priority.

Having a comfortable environment helps you to soothe your mind and soul. Only by having peace of mind, can you get sleep and then have a normal life like everybody else.

  • Do a regular exercise and indulge yourself in the busy routine

You must ensure that you are engaged during the day time. If you are at work, then probably you’ll have enough and more work to do the whole day. But when you are at home, you must ensure that you keep yourself busy with some kind of work.

I have a tight schedule at work, and when I reached home, I try to complete all household tasks within 3 to 4 hours and will eventually feel sleepy and thus hit the bed.

I highly recommend doing exercise regularly not just to be fit but also to combat insomnia. doing exercise, one will able to enhance the mobility as well as the balance of the hormone level. Hormone levels have to be stabilized to have a systematic internal clock function, making your life better and also fight back insomnia.

  • Take massage

To reduce the stress levels in the body, having a body massage will be of great help. You can start taking massages by using natural oils like olive oil etc. as they naturally help to calm your mind. This will benefit from having peaceful sleep.

  • Move towards a healthy lifestyle

My major tip based on how I tackled insomnia is to have a healthy lifestyle. It matters a lot than what you think. Simple acts such as waking up early, doing workouts, maintain healthy diet plans, walking in the fresh air and drinking a lot of water all help you to enhance the functionality of your body.

Try to avoid bad habits, even if they seem very negligible. Stay away from smoking, nicotine, alcohol and such beverages, also, do even avoid caffeinated drinks. All these take a huge toll on your sleep and health. Gradually taking steps towards a healthy lifestyle, you can itself feel the difference in your body and will be able to start having good sleep.

  • Avoid naps in the day

Sleeping during the daytime, even if they are small naps, it could affect your night sleep. Try to avoid them, to have a sound deep sleep for long hours at night.

  • Stop taking stress over small things

Being happy itself self- heals your system. Being stressful will only interrupt your sleeping pattern and make you be awake during the night hour with no sleep. So try to take out the stress in your life, and maintain a calm mood to create the right mental health to get good sleep.
