What methods should you follow to install a new hard drive in a laptop?

If you laptop possesses a slide-in drive mechanism, slide in the new drive. Once the new drive slides and the connectors engage, a clicking sound is produced.  If the hard drive is placed at the laptop bottom, you will need to put in an edge first to help it fit properly.
  • Turn on the laptop, after the installation process is completed. The System BIOS will automatically identify the new hard drive.
