Articles are either definite or indefinite. In English there are three articles: a, an, and the. Articles are used before nouns or noun equivalents and are a type of adjective. 

English Articles rules are so easy to understand. This lesson is about the indefinite articles, “a” and “an”, and the definite article, “the”.

Learning how to use A, AN, and THE can take time.

‘The’ is definite article. It use before a singular or plural noun.

‘A’ is indefinite article. It use before a singular noun beginning with a consonant sound.’

‘An’ is indefinite article. It use before a singular noun beginning with a vowel sound.
