Ramadan is the ninth month of an Islamic year during which Muslims living across the globe observe their obligatory fasts. It’s the most precious and exceptionally significant month of the year, the importance of which remains mentioned in the Holy Quran as well as Hadith. However, in Islam, fasting does not remain limited to avoiding drinking or eating anything between dawn to dusk. But, fasting is all bout Taqwa. That is to stop oneself from all the wrongdoings; develop the traits of patience and gratitude in one’s personality i.e. self-control and encourage the charity among people. That’s why Ramadan remains a month of learning for Muslims. As a matter of fact, almost 4 million pilgrims annually gather in Haram through their cheap Ramadan Umrah packages UK and other countries; offer the holy rituals and spend the sacred time of Ramadan in the house of Allah Almighty i.e. Holy Kaabah.
Here’s the importance of Ramadan for Muslims.

The first revelation of the Holy Quran.

The first-ever revelation of the Holy Quran took place in the month of Ramadan. When during one night Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) was busy in his (SAWW) prayers in ‘Cave of Hira’. Hazrat Jibril (AS) came down to earth with the message of Allah Almighty and revealed the first 5 verses of Surah-al-Alaq. After this, the period of enlightenment of the world i.e. Islam started and so did the prophecy of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). In short, that night remains remembered as Layla-tul-Qadr or “The night of Power/Decree” and holds exceptional rewards for the believers.

Virtues of Fasting.

Fasting in Ramadan is not only a religious duty of a Muslim but also a way of attaining much-needed spiritual, physical, mental and body health benefits.

• Fasting helps you attain Taqwa.
• It’s the ultimate way of getting closer to Allah Almighty.
• One who fasts with the rightful intentions, there are unique rewards for them from Allah Almighty.
• Fasting helps you cleanse yourself physically, mentally and spiritually from all the toxins and negativity.
• Fasting improves the human organ’s health capabilities.
• It prevents a person from infinitely many fatal diseases.

And the list continues.

The 3rd pillar of the Islamic faith.

Fasting during Ramadan is the 3rd and one of the essential pillars of the Islamic faith. Its importance is that Fasting remains obligatory on every Muslim; male or female, wealthy or poor. The only exception is for the travellers, ill, elderly, weak and children. That’s why, throughout the month of Ramadan Muslims observe the fasts from dawn till dusk; refraining from every single thing that is prohibited in the state of fast. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran;

(description) fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to the others that came before you, so that you may learn piety and righteousness from it”. [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183]

So, if you are also going for the performance of minor pilgrimage through umrah packages all inclusive in Ramadan, it is indeed a great blessing of Allah Almighty!
