Salman Khan is an Indian film actor and is widely regarded as the greatest superstar in the Industry. Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan popularly known as Salman Khan is an actor, producer, occasional singer, and a very popular television personality and host.

Salman Khan Biography

Salman Khan was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 27th December 1965. He is 54 years old. His father is one of the most popular screenwriter in the Industry who has written the story of legendary Bollywood films like Sholay and Deewar, Salim Khan. He is the eldest of his three brothers, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan. Salman Khan also has two sisters and one adopted sister. They all live happily together in Mumbai.

Salman Khan completed his primary schooling in Mumbai itself at St. Stanislaus High School along with his younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail. Salman pursued his college from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai.

Career

Salman Khan made his Bollywood debut in the movie called “Biwi ho to aise” in 1988. Salman also won the Filmfare award for the best actor due to that movie. This movie brought him in the limelight and made him a rising star.

In 1994, Salman Khan appeared in Andaz Apna Apna co-starring Aamir Khan. The film failed in the initial days but later on became a legendary movie. In 1995, Salman Khan’s one of the biggest hit and an all-time evergreen movie “Hum aapke hain kaun” hit the theatres. In 1995, he starred in Rakesh Roshan’s “Karan Arjun” co-starring Shah Rukh Khan which is yet another epic movie and an all-time hit.

In 1997, Judwaa and Auzaar released which are yet another set of excellent movies and they too became all-time hits. Salman Khan again presented the world with three super hit films in the year 1999- “Hum Saath Saath Hai”, “Biwi No.1” and “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”. In 2002 “Hum Tumhare hai Sanam” released and yet was a commercial success on the box office.

In 2003, Tere Naam was released and Salman Khan’s role is crazily loved by fans till today also. Many more movies rolled out in the next few years which include “No Entry”, “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” which also acted as one of the greatest hits on the box office.

Salman Khan debuted on Television with a TV game show named “Dus ka Dum” in 2009 and the show was a big hit and was able to get the TRP’s from all over the country. It was loved by the people of all ages and classes.

Salman Khan’s true stardom began to build after his movie “Wanted” released in 2009 which was loved by his fans. Then Salman Khan created the streak of super hit movies after that and no one was able to stop the Salman Khan domination from the box office.

Some of the greatest hits of Salman Khan includes: “Ready”, “Dabangg”, “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Bodyguard”, “Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo” and many others. Salman Khan is the host in one of the most popular TV Reality show- Bigg boss. He debuted the show in 2004 after Amitabh Bachchan and Arshad Warsi. Since then he became the face of the show. Now it is very hard to imagine Bigg Boss without Salman Khan in it hosting the show.

Personal Life

Salman’s personal life has been controversial mostly. Salman Khan is unmarried. But he was dating an Indian actress Aishwarya Rai, but they broke up in 2001. Other unsuccessful affairs of Salman Khan include Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali.

He was a part of many other major controversies such as Hit and Run case in 2002 and Blackbuck Hunting case due to which Salman still has to visit Jodhpur court for the hearings of his case. Salman runs on “No intimate scenes” in the movie which makes his movies to be even watched with children or with family. Salman Khan has a homegrown brand in the name of “Being Human” which is a charitable trust and helps millions of children daily.

Salman loves children and he loves to play with his sister’s son and his nephew. His favorite leisure time activity is reading books and self fitness zeal. Salman loves cycling and is often seen cycling in Mumbai local traffic and posting videos and pictures that are loved by his fans.
