Well, you must have heard of the famous Golden Triangle of India. The triangle comprises three historical cities Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. The cities are famous for their tourist attraction and attract the largest number of tourists from abroad in India. The goodwill of the circuit is such that packages get sold with just one name “Golden Triangle” across the world. It is widely believed that there is no such other circuit like this, but hold on! The belief might face a challenge over here. There is one famous “Pilgrim Triangle” or the “Holy Triangle of Gujarat” that is existed for long. The circuit is getting fresh life altogether. It has all the potential to grow and could be bigger than the “Golden Triangle” itself. Let see how!

For long the two major pilgrim sites in Gujarat, Somnath and Dwarka, are attracting the devotees from all over India. There is a third pilgrimage site in Girnar, District Junagadh of Gujarat. The site is known for the historic Hindu & Jain temples having a large number of followers. To date, the temple is attracting hundreds and thousands of tourists from Gujarat. The figure is about to get a significant boost with the launch of Girnar Ropeway in the coming months. The ropeway has been a dream project of then Gujarat CM and now PM Shri Narendra Modi. It is expected that the Girnar Ropeway will augment Somnath and Dwarka to complete a circuit of a triangular shape and boost tourism at age-old Gujarat’s own Holy Triangle. The ropeway will provide the ultimate convenience where devotees can skip the 5000 steps and take a single one to enter to the ropeway’s car.

Girnar Ropeway

The launch of the Girnar ropeway could take place in the month of May or June 2020. It is expected that Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the same. Apart from the pilgrimage visits, people are expected to visit the place to enjoy one of the most exciting ropeways in India. The Girnar Ropeway would boost the tourist fall in the region and is set to give a boon to Gujarat tourism as well. Be it children, old age or young, everyone loves a cable car ride. Local tour operators in Gujarat are set to prepare for a complete “Holy Triangle Tour Package”. Their counterparts from the rest of India will be following them soon. With the lessons learned from the Statue of University, Gujarat travel operators are leaving no opportunity to cash the new attraction of the state.
