Altitude Sickness

Altitude Sickness is the main problem that tourists face at any high altitude place. Leh Ladakh is one such place which stands at a high altitude. On high altitudes you might feel altitude sickness, motion sickness, headache etc.. It is caused due to lack of oxygen at high altitude because as you go higher, the amount of oxygen in the air gets thinner and the atmospheric pressure increases. The symptoms of acute mountain sickness are dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, anxiety, loss of breath and rapid heartbeat. You must take several precautions to deal with it. There are a few medicines that will prove helpful. These are Diamox,  Dexamethasone, Aspirin etc. If possible carry portable oxygen cylinders, which is a great way to get relief temporary. And avoid to consume any toxic substances like Alcohol or cigarettes. And keep yourself hydrated throughout the journey.
