Installation of the seal.com/" target="_blank">mechanical seal and precautions for its use

 First, the installation of mechanical seals

 1. Check whether the model and specifications of the mechanical seal to be installed are correct.

 2. Check whether the dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy and interrelationship between the main machine and the installation of the mechanical seal are in accordance with the technical requirements. There are the following aspects:

 (1) The radial run out tolerance of the slurry pump mechanical seal of the shaft (or sleeve) where the mechanical seal is installed, the surface finish of the shaft (or sleeve) and the tolerance on the outer diameter.

 (2) The tolerance of verticality of the seal cavity and gland non-standard mechanical seal combined with the positioning end face to the center line of the shaft (or shaft sleeve).

 (3) The chamfer and smoothness of the end of the shaft (or sleeve) where the moving ring seal is installed, and the end structure of the housing hole where the mechanical seal is installed.

 (4) The axial displacement of the shaft of the mechanical seal during operation.

 3. During the installation of the mechanical seal, it should be kept clean, and it is not allowed to hit the sealing element with tools to prevent damage and damage.

 4. During installation, the surface of the dynamic and static rings should be coated with a layer of clean engine oil and turbine oil. Auxiliary seals (including moving ring seals and static ring seals) should also be coated with a clean layer of engine oil or turbine oil before installation to ensure smooth installation.

 5. Put the static ring sealing ring on the back of the static ring and put it into the sealed end cap. Pay attention not to hurt the end face of the static ring. Make sure that the end face of the static ring is perpendicular to the center line of the end cover. Align the anti-rotation pins, but do not touch them.

 6. The rotating part of the mechanical seal is fixed by two fixing screws on the spring seat and the shaft. When tightening the fixing screws, the working length of the spring must be guaranteed.

 Second, the use of mechanical seals

 1. Before starting the main machine, check the attached device of the mechanical seal and check whether the cooling and lubrication system is complete and smooth.

 2. The material pipeline should be cleaned before starting to prevent rust impurities from entering the sealed cavity.

 3. Move the coupling by hand to check whether the shaft rotates easily. If the movement is heavy, check whether the relevant installation dimensions are correct.

 4. Before normal driving, a static pressure test is required to check the sealing effect of the end face of the mechanical seal, the seal ring and the seal end cap. If there are any problems, check and solve them one by one.

 5. Before the host starts, the sealed cavity should be filled with liquid or sealed medium. If a separate sealing system is to be started, the cooling water system must also start to circulate.

 6. Before normal use, perform normal pressure operation and observe whether the temperature rise of the sealed part is normal and whether there is leakage. If there is a slight leak, you can run in for a period of time to make the end surface fit more evenly, until the leakage is gradually reduced to normal. If the leakage does not decrease after 1 to 3 hours of operation, stop and check.

 7. Under normal operating conditions, the boost and temperature rise can be carried out slowly, and pay attention to the temperature rise and leakage of the end face. If everything is normal, it can be put into production. When stopping, stop the main engine first, and then stop the cooling and lubrication system.
