4 Simple Things You Can Do to Have Boundless Energy

Posted by Rasa Flow Yoga on March 24th, 2020

The day is not half done yet but you’re already feeling tired and burned out. The bad news is, it’s still a few hours before you can head home to rest.

This is the reality most of us face on a daily basis. Our mind is able but our body doesn’t seem to be. Sometimes, even our mind feels tired and drained from all the activities lined up in front of us.

Is there anything we can do to help our bodies produce more energy?

Well, yes, there is.

But first, you should know what is causing feelings of fatigue. It can be an underlying health issue like heart disease, diabetes or thyroid problems. You would want to rule these out first before trying anything.

These are the things that you can do as well to get more energy to last you through even the most tiring days:

  1.    Learn how to manage your stress.

Stress is an energy vampire. It will suck the life out of you. Notice that the more stressed you are, the more you feel physically and mentally exhausted.

When we are facing challenging situations, our body goes into a fight or flight mode. This is a natural survival instinct. However, stress happens when it doesn’t go back to normal functions. As a result, we use up all our energy reserves, leaving none for our systemic functions to use.

Learn how to manage your stress. Pace yourself so that you are not completely drowning in work. Make sure you leave some room to take care of yourself during the day.

  1.    Get the right amount of sleep.

Sleep too little and you will wake up feeling tired. Sleep too much and you will wake up feeling sluggish. Ideally, you should get 8 hours of sleep every night. However, you should focus more on the quality of our sleep. You might be sleeping for 8 hours but is it a good kind of sleep? If you keep on waking up at night because of sleep issues like sleep apnea, how many hours of sleep don’t matter. You will still wake up feeling tired. Address these issues first and find solutions for them.

  1.    Eat more proteins and good fats.

Try eating more proteins and good fats. You need them for fuel. Since they are slow-burning, you can have a steady and consistent supply of energy. Compared to the energy burned from carbohydrates and sugar, this is better.

  1.    Try doing yoga in North Vancouver.

If you are going to choose a form of exercise to give you more energy, try Yoga in North Vancouver. There are many different yoga in North Vancouver poses that will help reactivate your energy flow. The Tree Post, Dance Pose, Chair Pose, Camel Pose, and Wheel Pose are just some of the poses that help in reactivating energy production and flow. You can learn how to do yoga in North Vancouver from Rasa Flow Yoga.

Try doing these things and you should feel a difference in how much energy you have during the day.
