Crytek are known for developing video games that push the hardware limit. diablo 3 gold They have developed a few franchises in the past but the most well known out of them is obviously Crysis. The game pushed gaming PCs to the limit and it coined a new term in the industry: Can it run Crysis? In 2011, Crytek released the fantastic Crysis 2 and later on added DX11 support although initially the PC version was not up to the mark.

Now Crytek wants to make amends with Crysis 3. They are now giving plethora of options for the PC version of Crysis 3, Crytek Boss Cevat Yerli has confirmed. He has also admitted that the limited graphics options in Crysis 2 backfired.

“That was our intention, but it backfired in Crysis 1. So then we said, “OK, Crysis 2. Let’s make it much more accessible, so that people can max it out quickly. ” We approached the whole production very differently. But then people [got upset about that]. So it backfired again [laughs]. So now we’re making Crysis 3 accessible at the low end, but really pushes the future-proof graphics at the high end. In a way, it’s the best of both worlds, ” he said to RPS.

Crysis 3 surely looks stunning on the PC but I am sure they will be able to squeeze whatever they can from the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. But come on, we had to admit facts. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 have completed 7 and 8 years respectively in the market and technology has just grown bounds and leaps since then.

‘Well we definitely are and we didn’t…I mean, consoles are sitting at the 8 year mark where’s it’s so behind the curve at this point. And we are able to squeeze some more out of them. I mean, there is a game that came out recently, that I’m not going to mention, that looks really good. I mean, I’m surprised at how good it looks on consoles, ” said Mike Read, producer of Crysis 3 to Capsulecomputers.

He further explains how technological advance Crysis 3 is. “And one of the biggest things is in terms of lighting; we can do real-time lighting on the fly in there and our lighting guy is INSANE! I love sitting there and watching this guy, and watch him work. And a lot of the tools on the lighting end are mainly due to him. Lighting just adds so much…getting that right, which is something that has not really been pushed hard in the industry until lately, along with particle effects, is huge, ” he said.
