Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City developer Slant Six Games suffered buy d3 gold another wave of layoffs today.

They're temporary as the Vancouver-based studio hopes to hire back some of those affected, and this way they can maintain those positions with their full benefits.

"This necessary measure has been taken to reduce the size of our team and to decrease interim operating costs while we continue to negotiate new business, " Slant Six told Games Industry International. It added, "The intention is to reinstate all of the people affected when new projects or funding has been secured. "

Before the cuts, the company housed 60 staff members. Slant Six has 13 weeks to decide who to rehire before the workers' employment insurance and benefits end.

Slant Six initiated layoffs just last June, shortly after the launch of the poorly performed Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. At the time, it had 96 employees.

Last year, the developer released The Bowling Dead for iOS with publisher Activision, and it co-created the recent Galactic Reign for Windows Phones with Microsoft Game Studios.

It's also working on a new intellectual property called Strata Scavenger.
