If two teams are playing  a football match, then the bigger and better team will have short odds in comparison to the other teams because the probability of the former team winning the match is much high. However, it is the aspect of relativity that makes the game a bit dicey. It is used to refer something that is unlikely to happen unless the table upturns and things occur as it was least expected. Comparatively, short oddsen make the winning possibilities higher because of the obvious.

Thus, the concept of long odds is practically incomplete without that of the short odds. Sporting outcomes, especially in games like football, tennis, etc. are quite unpredictable. It is highly possible that a team that has the best possible records of winning can lose a case quite unexpectedly. In that case people placing langoddsen are going to win and win big. In such cases, even though short odds were in favor of the stronger team, the underdog played out, causing huge loss. The world of betting is unpredictable just as the stock market. Hence, sometimes placing bets after calculating oddsen can still turn out to be an unsure proposition.

Even when you have experts within your circle, you can never be fully assured until you have the opinions of an expert. Though a very risky venture, the professionals with considerable knowledge know the possibilities all too well.
