They are currently seeking a Site Manager to manage a new sporting pavilion project in Warrandyte. The specific role will require an immediate start with a project duration of approximately 8 months. Depending on the candidates’ capabilities, Mascon will look to extend this contract following the initial 8month construction period. One will also be part of a supportive team managing the construction of impressive projects. Great site conditions are fully ensured by an experienced project manager.

The successful candidate will have onsite commercial construction experience managing projects. Applicants must also possess the following attributes: at least 7 years site management experience, very good understanding and working knowledge of Building Regulations and Health and Safety Legislation. He must have experience in driving, programming and managing sub-contractors and very good contract administration skills including identification and management of contract variations. A broad understanding and knowledge of trades is also required. The candidate must be Computer Literate and have excellent communication skills (will be first point of contact for Client, members of the public and subcontractors).

Successful candidates must demonstrate expertise in the following areas: Procure, package and negotiate sub contracts through to final account, variations. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 + years experience in a similar role, with proven Contracts Administration experience on architectural residential build projects.

Ideally one will have a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management (or similar) and be a skilled negotiator, with an ability to successfully manage sub contractors. One will also have excellent communications skills. The applicants will be required to work as part of a team but also very autonomously.
