Brony is an online slang term that is used in describing a teenage adult male fan of the TV cartoon series known as My little pony Bronies: friendship is magic. Though it was initially seen as a cult phenomenon outside the show traditional demographic of very young girls, the Bronies have grown into widely recognized fandom subculture and continued to retain its presence and influence online and its hub sites. My little Pony is a cartoon series from Canada that was produced by Studio B productions. The film shows Pony super fans creating figures and costumes that resemble the characters. They also organize charity drives for fans. Since the series went on air on October 2010, the series became a popular subject of discussion and reaction images on the internet.

Despite the outgrowth of the fandom, My little pony Bronies have continued to maintain their presence on 4chan, this has contributed to the growing body of often shockingly fanart that is based on the characters and plot of the show. Bronycon is an inaugural event that was attended by around one hundred people and it featured Cabal, the founder of RainbowDash.net and Jayson Thiessen, who was the show supervising director. The second inaugural event was held in September 2011 and was attended by three hundred people. It featured Equestria the founder of Scotellaro. The third event was held in January 2012 and was attended by 800 people. The fourth inaugural event took place on June 2012 and it was attended by more than 4,000 people and a few production staff members this includes voice actors.
