Van leasing UK looking up with more new vans being sold

Posted by tedmark on February 21st, 2014

With 13.1% increase in registrations of new vans the year 2013 was great for the commercial vehicle. 271,073 units of vans were sold throughout the UK as more and more people opted for vans. This certainly augurs well for the UK economic scenario. And at the same time the number of van lease deals also went up. The van leasing UK market was going through a slump starting 2009 but the numbers certainly picked up in 2010-2011 and the industry has since not had a bad year so as to say.

Like all the previous years Ford Transit continued to be the most popular van in the UK, both in terms of new registrations as well as new van lease deals. The Transit had a 16% share of the market. Next in line was Mercedes Sprinter that had a market share of just over 7%. Vauxhall Vivaro, Volkswagen Transporter and Citroen Berlingo followed with market shares of 6.7%, 5.7% and 4.9% respectively.

The van leasing UK market is worth more than £3 billion. As per data the manufacturing industry is the leader in using van lease deals. Most of the leased vans operate for this industry. The next to follow in terms of using the maximum number of leased vans is the wholesale and retail industry. This is followed by business services, community services and the construction industry. With the revival of the UK economy after quite some time the scene for the van leasing UK market is looking brighter. We could see many more van lease deals happening in 2014.

One of the prime reasons why people prefer to lease vans is because they are able to free up their finance and credit lines. When someone opts for van leasing UK they need to make a much lower down payment than they would have to do in buying a new van. And since people rarely buy vans cash down there is a loan required. The higher the van loan amount the lower could be the subsequent business loan sanction.

And then there are so many issues in managing a new van. There is road tax to pay; there is the insurance premium to pay and there are those niggling maintenance charges that cost considerable amount. When someone opts to lease a van they need not worry about these expenses because most of the deals have these expenses paid off as part of the lease. And the best part of such deals is that one can use that van that they would normally not be able to afford. And when the lease comes to an end they can renew the lease for the same van or opt for a new lease for a new van. The benefits are simply too good to ignore.

The van leasing UK market is looking up and the van manufacturers and lease dealers are lining up to attract new customers. This is the time when you can get the best van lease deals and you should go for one of them.

With more vans selling the van leasing UK is looking up. Look online and you can find some excellent van lease deals.
