SHIFT TOWARDS ONLINE MODEL – CALENDAR MANAGEMENT

Posted by Michael Kyle on November 9th, 2020

With the recent shift in 2020 to an online model, more businesses are using events to grow new customers. We see this everyday with more YouTube artists and talent, and ever-increasing number of activities such as online yoga and even an open house walkthrough online.

Likewise, brick and mortar businesses remain; and they want to draw-in new customers too. For example, restaurants made new accommodations to have outdoor seating to keep their customers coming back.

So, we know that businesses want consumers to attend events either virtually or in-person, that they schedule. The problem is that they are very ineffective at actually getting people to attend those events. Why?

People may be interested in attending the event, but it’s seems too hard to actually get people to schedule and calendar events that matter to them. For example, if you see a get-rich seminar on TV or hear about it on the radio, to actually book it on your calendar is quite difficult. There is no easy way to take that event you just saw or heard about and add it to your calendar management app in less than 5 seconds!

That means that lead went from hot to cold quickly.

Likewise, if you are a business and you want to create an event, it would be great to know who is actually attending it, right? For example, if you host a grand opening for an ice cream parlor, wouldn’t it be great if you had a list of people’s contact information that you could reach out to again and again? This will help draw them back into the business and keep them as lifetime customers.

So, at Calendar Code, we’ve created a hook that makes this entire process that very easy. Now, when you see that event in your email, radio, text, or banner, use Calendar Code to take the event, and add it to calendar. In one click you can take that very hot lead and convert them into a lifelong customer.
