To ensure longevity of your tyres, check them regularly, looking out for and removing any stones or objects embedded in the tread. Watch your Tyre Tread
Tyre tread depth must be above the legal minimum of 1.6mm throughout a continuous strip in the centre three quarters of the tread and around the entire tyre circumference. A tyre’s grip to a wet road deteriorates more rapidly in the second half of its tread life, meaning that wet stopping distances can dramatically lengthen. To ensure safety in wet conditions and when driving at high speeds, we advise that you check your tyre tread and buy new tyres well before they reach the legal minimum.
